GET YOUR BEAUTY SLEEP WITH MELATONIN!Category: General Information | Permalink Published: Monday, April 19, 2010
.....You will lie down and your sleep will be sweet Psalm 3:24
Are you one of those people who simply cannot get good night's sleep Are you waking up at 2 or 3 in the morning & lying there tossing andturning? Are you desperate for just one good long peaceful sleep?Okay, enough is enough. I've done the research and I have an answer for you that is ALL NATURAL! I am a big fan of melatonin. Why? If you do not get your proper sleep, your hormones will suffer! A disturbance in your circadian rhythm can result in hormone deficiencies and imbalances. And we do not need that! Our goal is to be in HORMONE BALANCE! How can you tell if you are deficient in melatonin? Read these and weep no more. There is help at the end of the day. However, is this you?
You experience poor sleep: a superficial or anxious sleep
So....sound like you? I know I had quite a few of these symptoms and once I started taking melatonin, they disappeared. Also, my dear husband, a chronic insomniac is now sleeping like the proverbial baby....does not even wake up when the dog is whining to go out! Maybe I need to hide his melatonin….just kidding. Before I got him on it, the poor man did not sleep through the night for about 2 years straight. Now he is so rested….it has actually helped him with his weight. How? Good sleep lowers cortisol levels (the stress hormone). High cortisol leads to weight gain….right around the middle. You know…the infamous “Spare Tire” that no one wants to see on themselves or their loved one. I really like sublingual melatonin that you take about 30 minutes before bedtime. However, I have another favorite application....Topical melatonin! That's right, you just rub it on your face. And guess what? The restorative power of sleep rejuvenates and repairs the skin, even as the melatonin crème makes the skin softer and more youthful looking. Other good news: There are no absolute contraindications to taking melatonin unless you have a disease that makes your cortisol needs higher than normal. Also, avoid high doses of melatonin during pregnancy. INSOMNIA FROM ESTROGEN DOMINANCE: What can you do?
The majority of the women experience relief from insomnia when they begin using natural progesterone. Women experience excellent results when they rub their evening dose on the back of their neck, sometimes using a slightly larger dose in the evening. Remember, progesterone has a calming effect on the central nervous system and it also balances out the excess estrogens that can be exciting the brain. Hormonal balance promotes good, healthy sleep. What are people saying after they use Melatonin or progesterone crème?
Okay, friends….that is your lesson for today. If you cannot sleep after trying melatonin or progesterone crème or both, CALL ME! Hopefully we can solve the mystery… I won't give up on you! I leave you with this verse from the Bible: Psalm 127:2 In other words, we were designed to have a good night's sleep.

Tuesday, June 29, 2010 @ 3:09:41 PM Dear Denise: The sublingual melatonin works best in my opinion after studying melatonin for many years. You may not have been absorbing the melatonin you took if it was in pill form. Better Health Naturally has the product that I really love. It is 3 mg in each little tablet and it is quite inexpensive. Their phone number is 877 539-6200. Posted by: Denise Wednesday, June 09, 2010 @ 8:49:57 AM Hi Dr Barbara Where can I buy sublingual melatonin - do you have such a product or could you recommend one? The time-release melatonin tablets are just not working for me. Kind regards Denise Posted by: Denise Thursday, May 13, 2010 @ 1:47:06 AM I was very excited to take Melatonin, but despite taking 3 x the suggested dosage, I still woke up several times a night (and not to go to the bathroom). I then started with Progesterone creme as well, but it is only wishful thinking that tells me I'm getting more sleep - I still wake at least twice during the night, and at least an hour or two before I need to get up. Do I just need more time for the progesterone to kick in? Posted by: Shirley Freeman Sunday, May 02, 2010 @ 8:22:39 PM About the Melatonin...it REALLY helped me with fibromyalgia...it helped much better than the prescription in fact almost all symptoms are gone. About the progesteron cream....Just a couple of weeks ago I had a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot went from my leg to my lungs) I was in the hospital for 8 days. They did all kinds of tests to find out WHY I keep getting blood clots (this is the 2nd)..they could not give me an answer. I was reading up on hormones and also the information on your progesteron cream ...and it said estrogen dominance can cause blood clots. When I asked my doctor about that...he seemed totally uninterested. HMMMM I asked if I could get a hormone profile. I guess the medical community doesn't know what a hormone profile is. I don't get it. Had I been taking the progesterne cream it could have possibly saved me from 2 pulmonary embolisms?!! I am so disgusted in the medical profession.
