Where to Apply Progesterone Creme

Hello, friends!

I get so many emails from women who are using a progesterone crème and say “It isn’t working”. When I ask where they are applying it, it is often a spot that would not give good absorption. The inner thighs and the stomach are the most common. And I have even heard of women applying it to their buttocks. Ladies, these areas do not have enough capillaries to help you absorb the progesterone fully.

You want to apply progesterone crème where capillaries are abundant and close to the surface of the skin. Thus, absorption is best at all the skin sites where people blush. These are the face, neck, upper chest, breasts, inner arms and even the palms of the hands. The sole of the foot even works.

If you are experiencing any estrogen dominance balancing symptoms when you first start the crème, do not give up. Try applying it below the waist in the area behind the knees. Absorption will be slower and you can ease yourself into balance more slowly. Also, you can use a lesser dose for a week. Some women do have symptoms when they first start out, but this is normal. I urge you not to give up. The benefits of progesterone are multiple and wonderful!

Now, the larger the skin surface you rub it in the more it will penetrate. So rub the creme back and forth a few times.

Ladies, call me or email me I welcome your questions. I am here to educate; that is my heart. However, if you are applying your crème to the correct areas and still not getting any relief, before you give up, try switching to another crème company. Look for a crème that absorbs nicely. You do not want a thick base that sits on the surface of your skin. The thinner the base, the better absorption of the micronized USP progesterone. Also, look for a crème that does not have a lot of extracurricular ingredients that you do not recognize their names. Purer is better. I LOVE my crème formulas.

One more thing: Several years ago a “theory” about progesterone USP cream and how it is used by the body was posted online that basically stated: “… progesterone is highly fat soluble and once applied to the skin will store itself in a woman’s fat tissue. Of course, many grabbed this theory and caused many to question the use of progesterone. Virtually all of a dose of transdermal progesterone cream is absorbed rapidly into the bloodstream and thus is not stored... Don’t be scared of progesterone. It is a balancing hormone AND the “Feel Good Hormone” If you need more help, email me!

I’ve been using progesterone crème since I was 35 years old and that was a LOT of years ago. It’s WONDERFUL for women over 60. If you want any information to help a loved one, let me know. I’m here for you.

Love,

Barbara
