Hot Flashes and Menopause: More Help

Siberian rhubarb to the Rescue. Clinical studies, you all know I have to see studies, have demonstrated that 1 tablet (4 mg) daily offers significantly effective relief for hot flashes & Night Sweats for which continued for the entire 2 years of the study. The women also noticed improved sleep, reduced anxiety and reduced depression.

MENOPAUSE is a natural transition, NOT a disease.

Too many of you are being given synthetic drugs for your natural symptoms. Did you know that the age range for natural menopause is 40 to 58 years, with 51 being the median age for menopause in the Western world. An estimated 6,000 American women transition to menopause every day. It’s a big group of us and we don’t need to take harmful drugs to alleviate our hot flashes. We need to DE medicalize menopause and recognize that it is natural and there are natural therapies. My favorites are bio-identical hormones like progesterone crème, red clover, and now, Siberian Rhubarb.

What about those hot flashes?

Nearly 80% of women in Western countries suffer from hot flashes, with 30% reporting hot flushes severe and frequent enough to seriously affect quality of life. Hot flashes can cause that poor sleep quality, fatigue, and memory decline. The cause of hot flashes isn't known, but it's likely related to several factors. These include changes in reproductive hormones and in your body's thermostat (hypothalamus), which becomes more sensitive to slight changes in body temperature.

Synthetic hormones (HRT) are frequently given to women for hot flashes, but they have the increased risk of Breast cancer, heart attack and stroke. Not to mention nausea, vomiting, altered mood, headache, and WEIGHT GAIN AND they are hard on the liver.

I have heard from WAY too many of you who have been given antidepressants, anti-anxiety drugs and even anticonvulsants for Hot Flashes. A lot of you like to follow what the FDA says. Well, the FDA has not approved ANY of these drugs for relief of hot flashes, Side effects include headache, nausea, anxiety, insomnia and sexual dysfunction. They are also addictive so when you discontinue, you can have withdrawal symptoms.

EXTENSIVE AND WELL-DESIGNED Research to date suggests that Siberian rhubarb offers a high degree of effectiveness and safe for long-term use.

It is also great for urinary tract symptoms and vaginal dryness and even heart palpitations.

So…if you are already using progesterone or progesterone/estrogen for hormone balance and feel that you need an extra boost for your annoying hot flashes. Consider this little powerhouse!
